New recycling cart Gastonia will have a RFID chip removed

Rebel Recycling projects tell students and encourage participation in sustainability efforts at UNLV, and move towards getting students more involved by going green.

Game day Challenge took place in UNLV's Homecoming game against Boise State. The rebels were able to turn its Recycling 13,033 pounds of recycling; 1,139 pounds of food waste and composting; 11,304 pounds of trash and. The rebels were able to reach the level of Recycling 34.5 percent diversion with 100 volunteers.
